About Trojan
Welcome to our website!
The Trojan Project operated between 2003 and 2006. The project is now closed but we hope the material produced during the initiative will be of use to you and so we have left the site up.
The Trojan Project was about giving young people the chance to give their views on things which the Scottish Government was making policy on, particularly related to school. Many of the young people taking part in the project were not in mainstream educational provision at the time.
This is how it works
- The project operated by posing questions around different topics which young people worked on within the projects where they got support.
- Reponses to questions and views were then sent to the project team where they were complied and presented on the website for everyone to see.
- There were over 20 projects from different part of Scotland taking part in the project and themes explored included; Learning Styles, Safe Places, What makes a good teacher, What we like best about school, Truancy, Losing your temper, Food and drink at school or college and When things change at school.

Their opinions helped influence what the Scottish Government does when it comes to young people in Scotland.
